This morning we arose around 7am, after which we went out and had breakfast on the lanai. Somewhere in between finishing breakfast and heading out to the convenience store down the road, we looked out and saw the rainbow of rainbows. Staring into this breathtaking wonder, and taking turns playing the role of professional photographer so as not to miss out on any angle, we both agreed we may never see another rainbow like this for the rest of our lives.
We had not been back in our Villa more than 10 minutes since beholding the multi-colored wonder, when we looked back out and saw its sibling appear. Only slightly shorter and a bit chunkier, it was equally able to make everything stand still, except our photography obsession. Maybe we will never see another rainbow like the siblings for the rest of our lives?
Today's beach time was shared between the famous Kapalua Bay beach and DT Fleming beach, both of which have won best beaches of the year in recent years. We were able to enjoy yet another clear day with only a few clouds to speak of, gracefully topped off by our second sunset observance from the West Maui shoreline.
Finally, we just walked in from a late dinner at the Pineapple Grill. It wins many of the awards on the island, and we are ready to give it one ourselves--one that would capture its appetizing flavor and rewarding experience. (And for you college basketball fans, I thought I would tell you that I stood side by side with Arizona Coach Lute Olson who dined there tonight as well.)
