Today was a day for some serious R&R. A 5 hour time difference and a 22 hour day yesterday notwithstanding, we had a great first day of sleeping, eating, lying on the beach watching surfers, and now getting ready to go get some dinner. We also made it to the concierge who helped us make plans for later in the week. We'll be sailing to Molokini to do some snorkeling and embarking on our first zipline adventure in Haleakala. We also plan to take the advice of many and drive the "road to Hana" which is much like living the Christian life - more about the journey than the destination. Neither of us want to plan out our days to the minute, so we're, in a sense, planning to remain somewhat unplanned to allow for the "feel" of the day to guide us. We were able to walk out on our lanai this evening and see the sun creeping into Molokai, the island across the way from us. Beautiful.
