Yesterday afternoon we went to Lewes beach for a few hours. The weather was great and there weren't many people around (unlike the crowds we are accustomed to in Va. Beach). The ferry that we will be riding today kept coming and going in the distance. We look forward to boarding it in a few hours for a quick trip to New Jersey.
When we got back last evening from dinner, the kind lady we are staying with invited us back out for some stars and planet gazing. She pointed out that Saturn and Mars were really close together, closer than normal. After witnessing the spectacle through shared binoculars, we walked back up to the front porch, chatted for a bit, and then Shannon and I headed up to bed.
If you like to watch sky shows, don't miss tonight's showing. Saturn and Mars are going to be even closer together than they were last night. Look for them in the Northern sky.
