Changes

Last Saturday, Sean and I attended weddings in different areas along the east coast, and the weather was unusually and conveniently beautiful. I was actually on the warm side at my wedding, which was held outside in a garden. Had those weddings fallen this weekend, just one week later, I'm afraid it would've been disastrous. Rain all weekend and temps in the miserable range, it's like the weather somehow suddenly knew that it turned into October, and autumn could officially come. The bright side to this weather is that those crisp multi-hued days are fast approaching. Sean and I can't wait to explore the Shenandoah mountains as much as our hearts desire in these weeks to come. We've been fortunate to have been able to drive over to this region in years past for day trips, but now we relish being able to look outside our windows and actually see hills and valleys and mountains stretched before us.

Now if this rain will just subside...
