Finding an Eastern Kingsnake

Yesterday, my brother-in-law asked me if I knew anything about snakes. I told him I knew a little, and we then went outside to determine the type of snake he had found a few minutes earlier. It was black with yellow markings; attractive, considering it was a snake. It was trying to sliver its way up inside of his car so we found a good stick and led him elsewhere.

As it lay in the middle of the road, Shannon, Brian, and I discussed what family of snake it belonged to. None of us had a clue.

Later on the internet, we learned it was an Eastern Kingsnake. Take a look if you are interested: http://www.kingsnake.com/easternkingsnake/
