It sounds redundant to say travelers have been traveling the previous seven days, but we have. Here is a brief timeline of where we've driven, flown, lodged, and chatted, as well as what we've seen and experienced.
July 8: Drove to Colonial Williamsburg, VA and shopped at the local outlets.
July 9: Woke up in Williamsburg and visited the Jamestown Settlement (photo included). Later in the day we drove into Colonial Williamsburg. We walked along the quaint streets, shopped, and ate dinner at the Fat Canary. Picked up a Christmas ornament to add to our collection.
July 10: Woke up in Williamsburg and went to a local park for a two mile hike (photo of trail included). Afterwards, we drove back to South Virginia where we unpacked and re-packed for the following day's trip.
July 11: Flew out of Richmond, VA, to Houston, TX, where we spent the evening with my brother and his wife. Of course, we had the fortune of eating at a great Tex-Mex Restaurant.
July 12: Woke up in Houston, and in our rental, drove from Houston to Lake Charles, Louisiana. There, we watched my good friend, Willie, whom I know from graduate school and the basketball court, marry a terrific lady (photo included)! After the wedding reception, we got back in our rental for the commute back to my brother's home in Houston. What should have been a two hour drive lengthened to five and a half hours. Due to a bad traffic accident, all 4 lanes on I-10 west outside of Houston were shut down for 3 + hours. We sat still, in our rental, while the 3 hours of clean-up occurred. Actually, we may have moved all of 20 feet in that period of time! We finally arrived back in Houston around midnight.

July 13: Woke up in Houston and headed to the Galleria for lunch and shopping. Following a late afternoon siesta, we spent the evening with six other relatives that live in the area.
July 14: Woke up in Houston early and caught a flight back to Richmond.
July 15: Woke up in Virginia. Resting. Did not get in a car all day. Bliss.
July 16: Will still be resting.

July 17: Will probably plan more travels.
