Virginia Tech

Like the rest of the country, Shannon and I are in mourning over the tragic and horrific events that befell the Virginia Tech Campus yesterday. After watching news story after story, you would think we would feel more connected to what is going on there, but instead we feel more disconnected. Simply put, there is a part of us that wants to be there in that community, offering our shoulders to those who are crying, listening to those who don't know how something this terrible could stem from another human being. We feel so bad for those students, their families, and the community around them.

As the shock lessens, the grief sets in, and the questions surmount, let's all remember this small community in our prayers. God, "deliver them and us from evil" and "Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven."
